The Da Vinci Code is Back

If you haven’t heard of The Da Vinci Code series then please explain how you’ve missed out on these amazing books and movies for the past decade. Seriously, let me know because to me, it’s like hearing someone say they don’t know who Harry Potter is.

Inferno is the latest film to prosper from Dan Brown’s Da Vinci Code series. The first book was published in 2003 and a movie version came to theaters three years later. The film sequel, Angels and Demons, was released in 2009. Fast-forward 7 years and Dante’s depiction of hell is coming to life with Ron Howard at the helm. Howard directed both The Da Vinci Code and Angels and Demons, meaning Inferno should be as good as I think it will be.

Thankfully, Tom Hanks is reprising his role as Robert Langdon, a Harvard University professor and symbologist (it’s a word I promise). While Felicity Jones plays Sienna and Ben Foster appears as Bertrand. The entire movie revolves around the idea that a biochemist (Foster) created a plague to stop the world’s overpopulation problem. Like in the two movies to predecease this one, Langdon must follow hidden clues that only a symbologist could figure out.

Inferno hits theaters on October 28th of this year. You can watch (and rewatch) the trailer here. If you’re interested in buying the books, you can purchase them directly through Brown’s website.

If you’re a Da Vinci Code fan, what’s your favorite movie/book from the series?
