Not sure how or what a blanched almond is? Well, they’re almonds without skin. You can purchase blanched almonds but if you’re in a pinch, make them by following the directions below.
1. Place the almonds in a bowl and pour boiling water over them until they are covered.
2. Let the almonds sit for 1 minute then drain the water. Rinse the almonds in cold water and dry with paper towel.
3. Remove the skins and use the almonds immediately or store in an air-tight container in a cool, dry place.
